You may have heard and we have fielded several questions about the new requirement of a negative test to enter the United States going into place in the next ten days. Does this mean a traveler spending a week in a warm sunny beach location must get tested before returning home to the US? Yes, it does. Before you change your mind and decide to stay home, rest assured that resorts want you to visit and are doing everything possible to make the return testing process as easy as possible. Most Caribbean resorts have already announced on-resort testing programs to satisfy the re-entry requirement. Nearly all of these rapid antigen tests are being offered to guests free of charge. More and more resorts are also offering quarantine insurance and quarantine rooms should one of those re-entry tests come back positive. For example, Temptation Resorts is allowing a positive guest to stay in an isolated section of the resort for $75/day. That still includes all meals delivered to your door. The Dominican Republic is paying for all travel insurance costs, including medical costs associated with COVID while on vacation there.
As you can see, these resorts need tourists throughout the winter months to survive and will do whatever it takes to welcome back visitors, safely. If you need help navigating the constantly changing COVID travel scene, please don’t hesitate to contact Cream City Travel. We want to help you get traveling again!!
